You do not need to be in crisis to begin therapy. Many people come to counselling because they feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand, struggling in relationships, or simply wanting a space where they can feel heard and supported.

I support adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, family wounds, burnout, and life transitions.

Humanistic counselling is built on the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than diagnosing, directing, or working through a fixed programme, it creates a space where you can begin to understand yourself more clearly, on your own terms and at your own pace.
At its core, humanistic counselling is about relationship. The quality of the therapeutic relationship, one that is warm, honest, and genuinely non-judgemental, is not just the backdrop to the work. It is the work. Many people find that being truly heard, perhaps for the first time, is itself a profound part of the healing.
It can help if you are feeling lost, disconnected, or unsure of who you are. If you are carrying something you have never quite been able to put into words. If you have spent years prioritising others at the expense of yourself, or if you are beginning to question the patterns and stories that have shaped your life.
You don't need to arrive with a clear problem or a specific goal. Often the most important discoveries happen in the space between what you came in to talk about and what turns out to actually matter.

After you contact me, I’ll usually respond within 48 hours. From there, we can either arrange your first therapy session, or if you’re feeling unsure, we can book a free 20-minute introductory call via Zoom.
The introductory call is a gentle opportunity for us to get to know each other a little more. I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and we can explore whether therapy with me feels like the right fit for you.
There’s no pressure to commit, the aim is simply to support you through taking the next step.
-
The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy, what support you’re looking for, and whether we feel like the right fit to work together. There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable

No preparation is needed. You are welcome to come exactly as you are. Some clients arrive with specific things they’d like to discuss, while others simply know they want support.
